RICHMOND, Va. – For her performance in her collegiate debut, the Colonial Athletic Association has named Elon lacrosse's Cassidy Creighton the CAA Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
 
Creighton's award comes nearly one calendar year after an Elon player received the honor. Kaley Thompson last earned the status on Feb. 26, 2019.
 
In the Phoenix's 12-5 win over Campbell on Feb. 8, Creighton tied for the team high in goals (2) in addition to recording a pair of draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover. She opened the game with the first Elon goal of the season, while her second goal came in the second half to put the Phoenix up, 9-3.
 
Elon will next host Virginia Tech on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.
