ELON – The Elon women's lacrosse team was tabbed as a Division I Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday. The Phoenix also had 11 student-athletes named to the IWLCA Division I Honor Roll.
A total of 357 schools across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for the prestigious honor, a team must have posted a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year. This is the fourth consecutive year and ninth time overall Elon has met the criteria to be a Division I Honor Squad.
To earn individual recognition on the Division I Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The IWLCA honored 1,212 student-athletes with the honor this year. This is Elon's third year in a row with double-digit selections and just one shy of the program-record 12 student-athletes received the honor in 2025.
