ELON, N.C. – Elon University women's basketball will be on the road against William & Mary in its final road contest of the regular season on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
-The Phoenix holds a 10-7 overall record against the Tribe. 
-William & Mary won the last meeting between the two teams on Jan. 31, 84-77.   

LAST TIME OUT
-Elon suffered a 66-47 loss to Drexel on Sunday, Feb. 23.
-Saadia Munford finished the game with a team-high 12 points, while Ariel Colón and Brie Perpignan followed with eight apiece in addition to Jada Graves chipping in six. Micaela Ryan tied her career-bests in steals (2) and matched her season high in assists (2).
-Elon is led by ninth year head coach Charlotte Smith, who led the Phoenix to two consecutive CAA Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
-Including Friday's contest, Elon has 3 games remaining in its regular-season schedule.
-The CAA announced on June 25, 2018 that the 2020 CAA Women's Basketball Championship will be held at Elon University's Schar Center. Competition takes place from March 11-14. Those interested in purchasing tickets can do so here.    

SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
-The Tribe enters the game with a 19-7 (10-5 CAA) record on the season, ranking third in the conference.
-William & Mary defeated Delaware in its last game, 78-60. Eva Hodgson scored a game-high 19 points and led four other Tribe players in double-figures. Other top scorers for the Tribe included Victoria Reynolds (18), Gabby Rogers (10), Nyla Pollard (10), and Sydney Wagner (10).
-The Tribe was predicted to finish seventh in the CAA Preseason Coaches' Poll. Reynolds was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection.
