Hunter McIntosh was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a career-high 24 points on 8-of-9 shooting in Elon's 74-60 win over Northeastern.
- Senior guard Marcus Sheffield earned a CAA Player of the Week Honorable Mention after leading the team in scoring (23.0 ppg) during a 1-1 week for Elon. Sheffield scored a season-high 31 points while grabbing nine rebounds in an 82-73 Phoenix win over JMU.
- Freshman forwardÂ
Zac Ervin earned the CAA Rookie of the Week award after leading the team in scoring (18 ppg) during a 1-1 week for Elon. Ervin scored a career-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including a career-best 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in the Phoenix's 80-63 win over UNCW.

Hunter McIntosh garnered CAA Rookie of the Week honors, the league announced on Dec. 16. McIntosh was selected by the conference after scoring a team-high 15 points, while adding three assists, two rebounds and two steals in Elon's dominant 91-60 win over North Carolina Wesleyan.
- Freshman forwardÂ
Hunter Woods was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Dec. 9. Woods earned the honor after averaging 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in games against Kennesaw State and High Point.
- This marks the first time that the CAA has had three different freshmen from the same team each win a Rookie of the Week Award in the same season since Charleston in 2015-16, and seventh overall since the conference began announcing the award in 2002-03.
- Woods and McIntosh became the first pair of Elon freshman to win the conference Rookie of the Week award in back-to-back weeks.
- For the second time this season, Elon held UNCW to just 17 made field goals, which is tied for the lowest the Phoenix has allowed in a game this year
- Following Sheffield's 18 points performance Thursday, he now has 14 consecutive double-digit scoring efforts and his 22 overall this season

- The Cougars are off to a 15-9 start this season, after defeating William & Mary, 68-50, in their most recent outing
- Charleston is in its sixth season under head coach Earl Grant, who won the CAA Coach of the Year Award in 2017
- The Cougars are led by Grant Riller, who leads the team in scoring (21.8 ppg) and assists (4.1 apg), while ranking second in rebounding (5.5 rpg)
- Charleston currently ranks first in the CAA, posting a 9-3 record in 12 conference games so far.

- Elon University men's basketball held off a late UNCW rally to win its first road game of the season, 62-56, on Thursday, Feb. 6.
