ELON, N.C. – Entering the 2020 CAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Sonabank as the seventh seed, Elon University women's basketball begins postseason play on Wednesday evening at 4:30 p.m. against 10th-seeded Hofstra at Elon University's Schar Center.
CAA TOURNAMENT
-The CAA Championship will be held at Elon University's Schar Center from March 11-14.

THE MATCHUP
-Elon leads the overall series, 10-3.
-The Phoenix swept the Pride during the regular season, including a 69-56 win on Jan. 19 and a 67-50 victory on Feb. 14.
LAST TIME OUT
-Ending its regular season on a high note, Elon defeated Towson at Schar Center on Saturday, March 7, 68-52.
-Ariel Colón paced the Phoenix, totaling 17 points and 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career. Liles followed with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor with 12 of them coming in the first half.
-Elon is led by ninth year head coach
Charlotte Smith, who led the Phoenix to two consecutive CAA Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
SCOUTING HOFSTRA
-The Pride ended its regular season with a 3-23 (0-18 CAA) record.
-Hofstra fell to Northeastern in its final game of the regular season, 64-52. Sandra Karsten totaled a team-best 14 points with JaKayla Brown finishing just one point behind her with 13. Jaylin Hines's 10-rebound game was her 10th of the season.
