SCOUTING ELON
- Junior guard and Preseason All-CAA First Team honoreeÂ
Hunter McIntosh, leads the team in scoring at 11.3 points per game, adding 3.1 assists per contest as well. McIntosh has scored in double figures in 41 career games, including seven times this season.

Torrence Watson ranks second on the team in scoring 11.2 points per game, adding 3.0 rebounds per contest as well. Watson has gotten to the charity stripe a team-high 50 times this season, knocking down 43 of his attempts for an 86.0 free throw percentage.

Darius Burford is currently leading the team in assists (3.3 apg) and steals (1.6 spg), while being third on the team in scoring (11.0 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (4.4 rpg) respectively.

Hunter Woods is chipping in 7.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in 25.7 minutes through 12 games this season. Woods is also currently tied for the team lead in steals this season with 19 total.
- Sophomore centerÂ
Michael Graham ranks sixth on the team in scoring (6.8 ppg), while leading the team in rebounding at 6.2 rpg. Graham has registered two double-doubles this season after his 13 point, 15 rebound effort against Winthrop on Dec. 15.
- Senior forwardÂ
Chuck Hannah is averaging 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game since returning from injury against High Point.
- Freshman centerÂ
Sam Sherry has gotten his Elon career off to a solid start, averaging 2.8 points and 1.1 rebounds in just over nine minutes of action per game.
- The Phoenix's win over Winthrop snapped its seven-game losing streak and moved Elon to 3-2 in games played at Schar Center this season.
- Elon set a program record for points at Schar Center (107), threes made (20) and assists (27) in its home opener against Randolph.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS
- Arkansas enters the contest with a 9-2 overall record after falling to Hofstra, 89-81, in its most recent contest. JD Notae led the way for the Razorbacks, dropping 20 points, six rebounds and two assists. Chris Lykes also chipped in 19 points in the loss.
- Eric Musselman is in the midst of his third season at the helm of the Arkansas program. Musselman has compiled a 164-55 overall record in his coaching career, including a 54-21 record in his three seasons at Arkansas.
- The Razorbacks are led by JD Notae who leads the team in scoring at 18.3 ppg, adding 4.7 rpg and 3.3 apg. Arkansas has also gotten contributions from Chris Lykes (12.5 ppg) and Au'Diese Toney (12.1 ppg and 6.6 rpg) through 11 games this season.

LAST TIME OUT
-Â Elon fell to No. 2 Duke, 87-56, on Saturday, Dec. 18 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Jerald Gillens-Butler led the way for the Phoenix, posting a season-high 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the floor, adding five rebounds, one assist and one steal to his totals. The effort marked the second double-digit scoring outing of the season for Gillens-Butler and the fifth of his Elon career.
- Zac Ervin adding 11 points, six boards and two assists in 25 minutes. The junior out of Gate City, Va. ended his night 4-for-7 from the floor and 3-for-6 from deep. Ervin has now had at least 10 points and five rebounds in five games this season.

Chuck Hannah was perfect on the afternoon with eight points on a 3-for-3 effort from the field, including 2-for-2 shooting from distance. He pulled down five rebounds to go along with two helpers, one block and one steal. Hannah has not missed a shot in the last two games, going a combined 6-of-6 from the floor and 3-of-3 from long range against Winthrop and Duke respectively.

Hunter Woods tied for the team lead in rebounds, finishing the night with six. The junior from Pasadena, Calif. also contributed three points, two steals, one block and one assist in 30 minutes of action.
- McIntosh, Graham and Burford each added six points to the Phoenix's total.
- As a team, the Phoenix went 22-for-49 from the field, 7-for-18 from distance and 5-for-9 from the free-throw line.
- Elon scored 22 points in the paint, nine points on fast break, eight points off turnovers and 24 points off the bench.
- The Phoenix held Duke to just 4-of-14 shooting from three in the second half (28.6 percent).
- Elon's bench outscored Duke's 11-7 in the first half.

CAA PRESEASON POLL
- The Colonial Athletic Association announced its preseason poll on Thursday, Oct. 28, with Elon tabbed to finish sixth.
- The Phoenix had two student-athletes earn preseason all-conference honors inÂ
Hunter McIntosh (1st Team) andÂ
Jerald Gillens-Butler (Honorable Mention).
- Elon earned a total of 202 points in the poll, including one first-place vote.
- Delaware was chosen as the preseason favorite with 296 points and 19 first-place votes, followed by Northeastern with 246 points and seven first-place votes. Drexel (234 points; five first-place votes), James Madison (224 points, three first-place votes) and Hofstra (211 points; one first-place vote) rounded out the top five.
