ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's basketball returns to action tomorrow, Feb. 27, when it travels to Wilmington, N.C. for a road matchup with UNCW. Tipoff in the contest is slated for 6 p.m. at Trask Coliseum.
 
COVERAGE
- Listen to the Elon Sports Network from Learfield IMG College coverage on the TuneIn app. Taylor Durham will be on the call, with the pregame show beginning at 5:30 p.m.
- Elon's game against UNCW  will be streamed live on FloSports.

THE MATCHUP
- This marks the 24th time that Elon and UNCW will meet in program history, with the Phoenix leading in the series 12-11.
- In their most recent meeting, Elon defeated UNCW, 62-56, in Wilmington, N.C. on Feb. 6, 2020.

ABOUT ELON
- Elon is led by sophomore guard Hunter McIntosh, who leads the team in scoring (15.4 ppg), adding 2.8 rpg.
- Sophomore forward Hunter Woods leads the team in rebounding (6.8 rpg) and is third on the team in scoring (7.9 ppg).
- Guards Ikenna Ndugba and Darius Burford are combining to average 16.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg.
- In its most recent outing, Elon defeated William & Mary, 73-54, to earn its third-straight CAA win.
- Ikenna Ndugba led the way for the Phoenix, posting 17 points, four rebounds and four assists on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor.
- Darius Burford added 13 points, six rebounds and four steals, while Chuck Hannah chipped in a season-high 10 points and five rebounds in the win.
- Hunter Woods and Simon Wright combined for 17 points and nine rebounds on the night.
- The Phoenix led by as much as 30 and never trailed in the game.
- Elon forced a season-high 21 William & Mary turnovers that turned into 22 points on the other end.
- Following Monday's 19-point win, the Phoenix has now won each of its last three games by double-digits.
- Elon rounded out non-conference play with a 3-1 overall record.
- Following its win against Campbell, the Phoenix earned its first 3-0 start to a season in Division I program history.
- Elon's win over N.C. Wesleyan made Schrage the first Elon coach since Bob Burton in 1987-88 to win his first two season openers.

SCOUTING UNCW
- Takayo Sidle is in the midst of his first season at the helm of the UNCW program after spending a few years as an assistant coach at N.C. State.
- UNCW currently sits at 7-8 so far this season after falling to Hofstra in its most recent outing.
- The Seahawks are led by Jaylen Sims, who currently averages 17.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg. UNCW has also gotten major contributions from Mike Okauru who is posting 14.7 ppg and 5.3 rpg this season.
- This will be UNCW's first game since January 31.
 
UP NEXT
Following its game against UNCW, the Phoenix will turn its attention to the upcoming CAA Men's Basketball Tournament beginning on March 6, in Harrisonburg, Va.
