ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's basketball returns to action at 6 p.m. tonight for the Semifinals of the 2021 Hercules Tires CAA Championship against fourth-seeded Hofstra. The matchup will take place at the Atlantic Union Bank Center on the campus of James Madison, in Harrisonburg, Va.

THE MATCHUP
- This marks the 14
th time that Elon and Hofstra will meet in program history, with the Phoenix trailing in the series 3-10.
- In their most recent meeting on Jan. 30, 2020, Hofstra defeated Elon, 86-63.

Hunter McIntosh, who leads the team in scoring at 15.8 ppg, adding 3.3 rpg.

SCOUTING HOFSTRA
- Hofstra enters the CAA Tournament as the No. 4 seed after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 13-9 with a 8-6 record in conference play.
- Mike Farrelly is in the midst of his second season as the associate head coach of the Hofstra program. The Prides usual head coach, Joe Mihalich, is out temporarily for medical reasons.
- The Pride is led by Jalen Ray, who is currently averages 19.3 ppg and 3.4 apg. Hofstra has also gotten major contributions from Isaac Kante, who is averaging a double-double with 13 ppg and 10.3 rpg.
- Hofstra is the reigning CAA Tournament Champions, after defeating Northeastern in the Championship last season.
CAA TOURNAMENT INFO
- The 2020-21 CAA Tournament will be held at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in Harrisonburg, Va. from March 6-9.
- The semifinal games of the CAA Men's Basketball Championship are set for 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Monday, with the two winners facing off for the conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9. The semifinal games and championship game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.
- There will be no public sale of tickets for the Hercules Tires CAA Men's Basketball Championship. Attendance at the championship will be limited to families and guests of student-athletes and coaches.
