ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's lacrosse team takes on Radford at Rudd Field on Wednesday, March 10 at 5 p.m.

THE SERIES
-Elon leads the overall series against the Highlanders, 1-0.
-The first ever meeting between the two teams occurred on Feb. 25, 2020. The Phoenix defeated Radford 11-6. 
 
ABOUT ELON
-Elon comes into the game with a 2-0 record, ranking #25 in the most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches poll. 
-For the first time in program history, Elon upset then #12 James Madison 6-5 in its conference opener last week, recording the program's fifth all-time win against nationally-ranked opponents.
-Goalie Paulina DiFatta (2-0) recorded eight saves in the game, facing 13 shots on goal (.615 SV%). She went on to be named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week and IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week.   
-Elon is led by eighth-year head coach Josh Hexter.
 
SCOUTING RADFORD
-The Highlanders currently have an 0-5 record on the season.  
-Radford was projected to finish fourth in the 2021 Big South Conference Preseason Poll. Katie Bendrick and Grace Gleason were named to the preseason all-conference team. 
-The head coach of Radford is Haley Hardy.
 
UP NEXT
The Phoenix travels to Coastal Carolina for a 2 p.m. matchup on Saturday, March 13.
