ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's lacrosse team will travel to Williamsburg, Va. to take on William & Mary on Saturday, April 3 at 3 p.m.

THE SERIES
-The Phoenix lead the overall series, 3-1.
-The last matchup between the two teams occurred on April 26, 2019. Elon won the contest, 12-9.
ABOUT ELON
-Elon comes into the game with a 6-0 (1-0 CAA) record, ranking 25th in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches poll.
-The maroon and gold earned its sixth win of the season on March 29 when it posted a 11-goal win over Longwood, 14-3.
Margaret Stephan recorded her fourth hat trick of the season to lead both teams in scoring. The freshman also posted one ground ball and a caused turnover.
-For the second game in a row,
Quinn Daly led the team in draw controls (4). Curran and Armstrong also combined for five.
-
Paulina DiFatta improved to 6-0, allowing no goals in addition to registering two saves. DiFatta enters the weekend with a 5.65 goals-against average, leading the CAA and ranking second in the nation behind North Carolina's Taylor Moreno (5.38).
-Elon is led by eighth-year head coach
Josh Hexter.
SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
-The Tribe stands at 3-4 (0-0 CAA) on the season.
-William & Mary suffered an 11-10 overtime loss against Radford on March 27.
-The head coach of the Tribe is Colleen Dawson.
