ELON, N.C.—The Elon University women's lacrosse team will take on William & Mary at Rudd Field in its regular-season finale on Sunday, May 2 at 2 p.m.

THE SERIES
-Elon leads the overall series, 4-1, winning the past three matchups.
-The Phoenix won the last meeting between the two teams, 15-6.
Mae McGlynn and
Sara Bouwman finished with game highs in scoring, posting five goals apiece. Both of their totals match their career highs. McGlynn also paced the team in assists (3), finishing the game with a personal-best eight points.

-Elon comes into the game with an 8-2 (2-1 CAA) record.
-The Phoenix fell to No. 25 James Madison in its last game on April 25, 15-9.
-Both
Sara Bouwman and
Margaret Stephan posted hat tricks to lead the team in scoring. Bouwman also registered a pair of draw controls and an assist.
-For the third time in the past four games,
Paulina DiFatta (8-2) finished in the double digits in saves (10). The goalie also totaled a game-best four ground balls to match her season high.
-Elon is led by eighth-year head coach

SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
-The Tribe is 3-8 (0-3 CAA) on the season, entering the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
-William & Mary came up short in its most recent game against James Madison on April 23, 21-8. Belle Martire scored a team-high three goals, while Russell followed with two. Sarah Cipolla recorded a team-high in draw controls (3), while Caroline Hertzberg caused two turnovers.
-The head coach of the William & Mary is Colleen Dawson.

Elon will look to compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Championship, which will take place on May 6,7 and 9 in Harrisonburg, Va.
