ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men's soccer team and its head coach
Marc Reeves announced the addition of
Ali Simmons as the newest member of Reeves' coaching staff, as released on Thursday, June 24.
Simmons will assume the role of associate head coach with the Phoenix, taking over the role from Maciek Sliwinski.
"First and foremost, I'd like to thank Maciek for his unwavering loyalty and commitment to myself and the Elon Men's Soccer program since his arrival on campus," Reeves said. "We wish him and his fiancé Emily the very best as they step into their next chapter of life together. I, along with college soccer, will miss Maciek very much.
"Moving forward we are excited to welcome Ali as part of the Elon Men's Soccer family. Ali and I both attended Brunel University in London and Ali has had the experience of working with some exceptional coaches. I am fortunate to call many of these coaches as friends, all of whom offered nothing but glowing recommendations. Ali has worked for many successful soccer programs, and I am looking forward to the future."
