Hexter Announces Coaching Additions for Women’s Lacrosse Staff

ELON, N.C.-- Elon University women's lacrosse head coach Josh Hexter announced the addition of Amanda Mozier and Taylor Caskey to his coaching staff.

"I feel very fortunate to have Amanda and Taylor coaching with me this season," said Hexter. "They both bring amazing energy and balance to our team. I'm excited to be on this journey with them!"

Mozier joins the Phoenix after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Virginia Tech, aiding with the team's practice planning, player development, recruiting logistics and other program needs. She also had a stint in the Boston University Athletic Department immediately after graduate school as a development coordinator.

As a player, Mozier was a five-year member of the High Point University women's lacrosse program under head coach Lyndsey Boswell. A captain during her fifth season, she helped the Panthers to three consecutive Big South Championships (2017-19) in addition to earning the Millis Scholar-Athlete Award each season during undergraduate and graduate school.

Mozier earned her Master's of Business Administration from High Point in May 2019 and Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a Sport Management concentration in May 2018.

Also coming from Virginia Tech, Caskey most recently was a graduate assistant within the program after playing for the Hokies for four seasons (2016-20). During her playing career at Virginia Tech, she rose from a walk-on player to senior captain, finishing third all-time in assists (56). She was recognized at the conference level for her academic performance, earning Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic honors all four years.

Caskey earned her Master's of Science degree with a concentration in Leadership Studies in 2021. She also obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech, majoring in Multimedia Journalism and minoring in Business Leadership the year prior.
