ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men's and women's cross country programs continue their postseason campaigns this Friday, Nov. 11, as the Phoenix harriers compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships.
The women's 6K race begins the meet at 11 a.m. followed by the 10K run for the men at 12 p.m.

ABOUT THE MEET
• The Southeast Regional is made up of all Division I cross country programs from Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The top-two scoring teams from each of the nine regional meets will receive an automatic bid, with 13 at-large teams also earning selection following the completion of all regional races.
• In addition to the 31 teams in the championship field, the top four individuals from each regional who finish in the top-25 overall and are not associated with a placing team will also advance.
WOMEN'S RACE PREVIEW
• Elon is one of 39 teams competing on the women's side and one of five conference champions competing at the meet. The Phoenix will also face a tough field with four ranked teams including No. 1 NC State, No. 12 Virginia, No. 15 North Carolina and No. 28 Furman.
• The Phoenix will look to continue its momentum from capturing its historic fourth straight Colonial Athletic Association championship in its last meet on Oct. 28. Elon scored 30 points at the league meet to become the first team to win at least fourth consecutive CAA titles since William & Mary had five straight from 2012-16.
• Elon had five members of its program earn All-CAA honors for the second straight year. Junior
Madison Synowiec led the maroon and gold with her runner-up finish and her time of 21:16.40.

Leandra Lorenz followed Synowiec with her third-place standing to earn a medalist finish. The redshirt junior clocked a time of 21:19.70.
• Senior
Anna Twomey earned a top-five standing in fourth to earn All-CAA honors. The Berwyn, Pa., native clocked a time of 21:24.10.
• Freshman
Katie Blount was 10th in the race as she crossed the line with a time of 21:54.70. The Atlanta, Ga., native received All-CAA honors as did
Jette Beermann, who rounded out the Phoenix's top-five scorers with her 11th-place finish and her time of 21:56.00.
• The Phoenix, who finished ninth overall at last year's regional meet, comes into the race ranked seventh overall in the Southeast.
MEN'S RACE PREVIEW
• The maroon and gold men will face off against representatives from 34 other schools. No. 7 Wake Forest is the highest-ranked team on the men's side while other ranked schools include No. 12 North Carolina, No. 15 N.C. State, No. 19 Virginia and No. 30 Charlotte.
• Elon finished sixth at the CAA Championships after scoring 126 points. The Phoenix also had a pair of All-CAA runners at the race.

Zane Jackson was the Phoenix's top runner for the maroon and gold men for the fourth time this season. The Charleston, S.C., native had a time of 25:08.50 and was 10th overall to earn All-CAA honors for the first time in his career.

Andrew Miller was 15th overall as the Fleming Island, Fla., native posted a time of 25:24.30. He also received All-CAA accolades, the fourth time he had earned that recognition.
• Last season, Elon finished 21
st overall at the Southeast Regional Championships, scoring 579 points total.

The NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held on Nov. 19 at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla., for any teams or athletes that qualify.
