ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's basketball led wire-to-wire to secure its second straight win on Saturday, Feb. 26, defeating Northeastern, 67-54, at Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass.

With the win, the Phoenix completed its first road sweep of the season after defeating Hofstra, 81-55, on Thursday, Feb. 24.

Zac Ervin got the ball rolling with his first three of the day at the 18:27 mark, before a layup by Darius Burford pushed the early lead to 5-0. After Northeastern answered with a three of their own, back-to-back threes scored by Kris Wooten and Hunter McIntosh made it an 11-3 game with 14 remaining in the first half. Wooten capped the early spurt with a hook shot in the paint to give Elon a 10-point advantage.
- The Huskies battled back, using a 9-0 run to bring the score to 13-12 with 11 minutes to play before halftime. From there, Elon responded with a 13-5 run sparked by a steal and score from Wooten at the 9:21 mark. After two quick layups from Michael Graham and Hunter Woods pushed the lead to 19-14, Northeastern knocked down another three to trim its deficit down to two.
