ELON, N.C. – No. 4 Elon University women's opens the 2022 CAA Championship on Friday, April 29, when it matches up with fifth-seeded UNCW at 10 a.m. at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Elon's campus.

SCOUTING NO. 5 UNCW
- The Seahawks enter Friday's contest with a 12-6 overall record after falling to Charleston, 4-3, in its most recent outing.
- UNCW is led by Hans Olsen who is in his seventh season at the helm of the program. Olsen has led three different programs to a combined eight NCAA Tournament appearances as a head coach.
- Zoe Huffman leads the Seahawks in singles play with an 9-7 record, including a 3-0 mark in the No. 1 spot.
- The pairing of Sasha Belaya and Lauren Gish currently holds the top mark for UNCW in doubles play at 10-3 overall and in No. 1 doubles.
LAST TIME OUT
- Elon fell to William & Mary, 5-2, in its regular-season finale on Saturday, April 23, in Williamsburg, Va.

Olivia Archer continued her strong play of late, outlasting Elisa Van Meeteren 4-6, 6-3, 10-2 in a three-set tiebreaker. Archer picked up her team-leading 16
th singles victory of the season in the match and now sits at 6-0 in the No. 4 position.

Lizette Reding got Elon on the board in the match, taking down Hedda Gurholt 6-2, 6-4 in No. 2 singles. The win moved Reding to 11-8 overall this season with a 8-4 mark in the No. 2 spot.

Sibel Tanik fought hard against #116 nationally ranked Mila Saric, winning the first set 6-2 before falling 7-5 in the second set. In the decisive tiebreaker, Saric outlasted Tanik in a narrow 12-10 decision in No. 1 singles.

- Ball comes to Elon from the University of Tennessee where she earned Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2020.
