CARY, N.C. – Sophomore Veljko Krstic won a pair of singles matches to lead the Elon University men's tennis team on Friday at ITA Carolina Regionals. Duke is hosting the event at the Cary Tennis Park. 
 
Krstic started off the day with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Davidson's Alejandro Solares before knocking off Vasco Prata of Charlotte 7-6 (4), 6-3. Krstic, who is now 8-0 in completed singles matches this fall, will face Connor Krug of Duke in Saturday's round of 32 at 9 a.m.
 
Daniel Martin and Ben Zipay also picked up a singles victory on Friday morning before both fell in the round of 64 in the afternoon.
