Richmond, Va. – Elon freshman Grace Gelhaus was voted to both the All-CAA Rookie and All-CAA Third Teams, the CAA announced Wednesday. Gelhaus joins teammate Ashlee Brehio and former Phoenix Jessica Carrieri as the only Phoenix in the Neil Payne era to make both an All-CAA team as well as the All-Rookie team.
 
Gelhaus contributed mightily to Elon's front line this season, appearing in all 17 games and starting 15. Gelhaus finished in second place among freshman in goals with four and first among first years in assists with four. Her 12 points were the second among rookies finishing one behind Loren Gehret of Monmouth.

In Elon's 9-0 victory over Hampton, Gelhaus became the first Phoenix since Taylor Paradoski in 2018, to score a hat-trick in a match. Gelhaus was also the first freshman since 2017 to score three goals in a match, joining Meredith Christopher who bagged three against Liberty in her collegiate debut. Christopher would go on to be named to the All-Rookie team as well in 2017.
 
The Stockport, Conn. native helped lead the Phoenix to a strong finish to the CAA season with the Phoenix claiming four points in the final two games. Gelhaus collected a goal and an assist in Elon's final regular season game in a 3-0 win over the College of Charleston.
