ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team finished its fall season Saturday as the maroon and gold won six matches on the final day of the Jimmy Powell Invitational. Elon hosted the event at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
 
In her first fall tournament, Madison Cordisco picked up a victory in the morning doubles session with partner Mariana Reding, as the duo won 6-4 against Aleksandra Karamyshev and Cameron Didion of Connecticut. Miray Konar and Ella Suk also on a match in the morning's first session, as the tandem defeated Connecticut's Maria Constantinou and Isabella Asenov 6-3. 
 
In the second doubles session, Suk paired up with fellow freshman Simone Bergeron for a 6-2 win over Coastal Carolina's team of Nicole Abel and Brooke Rogers. Konar also picked up another win, this time with Helen Sarikulaya. 
 
Sarikulaya and Bergeron added singles wins to round out Elon's tournament. Elon tallied 12 singles and six doubles victories in the tournament.
 
With 16 points, Abel of Coastal Carolina earned singles champion honors. In doubles, the teams of Anna Babayan and Jesse Hollins from Coastal Carolina and Olivia Wright and Victoria Matos from Connecticut tied with eight points to share doubles champion honors.
