Kailee Follette has been named to the 2023 CAA Women's Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. Follette and the Elon lacrosse team open the season Feb. 11 by hosting Old Dominion at 12:00 p.m. on Rudd Field.
Follette played in all 16 games a year ago, starting 15 times. She led Elon with 26 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. She recorded at least three ground balls in five different contests and had at least two caused turnovers in five games as well. Follette has started 27 times over the course of her first two years at Elon and will anchor the defense in 2023.
In the CAA preseason poll, Elon was selected seventh. Stony Brook was first with seven first-place votes, followed by Towson, Drexel and Hofstra. Delaware and Monmouth slid in just ahead of Elon, while William & Mary was selected eighth.
Celebrating its 10
th season as a varsity program at Elon in 2023, Elon will play its first three contests at home. Following the Old Dominion game on Feb. 11, Elon hosts Queens on Feb. 15 at 5:00 p.m. and VCU on Feb. 18 at 12:00 p.m. CAA play begins March 18 at Monmouth and the four-team CAA Tournament will be May 4 and 6 at Towson.
