Tanik rolled to a 6-1, 7-5 victory in the No. 1 spot against Houston's Maria Dzemeshkevich on Jan. 27, improving her singles record to 2-1 this season. The Raleigh native has won 12 of her last 15 completed singles matches dating back to last season, all in the No. 1 position.
In addition to her singles victory, Tanik teamed up with

This is the second time Tanik has been named CAA Player of the Week, with the other coming on Feb. 2, 2022.
Tanik is also the second straight player from Elon to be named CAA Player of the Week, as
Julie Ball earned the honor for the first time in her career on Jan. 25.
Elon returns to the courts on Friday for its home opener against UNCG. The match at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
