Richmond, Va. – After breaking Elon's school record in the 60, freshman Reese Webster was named the CAA Track Athlete of the Week today.
 
Webster posted a time of 7.60 seconds to win the 60 at the JDL DMR Invitational Saturday, breaking the school record time of 7.61 seconds set by teammate Meghan Wilcox earlier this year. Webster's time positions her third in the conference heading into the CAA Championships Wednesday and Thursday.
 
The two-time defending CAA Outdoor Track & Field champions, Elon will compete in the first CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in conference history. According to the latest USTFCCCA rankings, Elon ranks third in the CAA, behind only Northeastern and league newcomer Hampton.
