Hertz Saebboe Wins Triple Jump As Elon Competes At Camel City Invitational

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Elon's Linn Hertz Saebboe won the triple jump as the Phoenix finished day two of the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track Saturday. The Phoenix competed in four distance events and two field events, as well as two men's distance events, at the meet.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Linn Hertz Saebboe won the triple jump with a distance of 38-feet-6.25 (11.74m). She was just five centimeters shy of her personal best leap.
  • Lauryn Carlton qualified for finals in the shot put and placed sixth overall with a distance of 43-5 (13.23m).
  • Sarah Petitjean ran a personal best time of 3:06.02 in the 1000 to place sixth overall.
  • Julia Bell also ran a PR in the 1000 with a time of 3:13.10.
  • Aliya Barrows posted a top 10 finish with a 10th place finish in the 800 at 2:20.11. It was her first career race longer than a 400.
  • Tatum Havemann ran a personal best time of 2:30.36 in the 800.
  • Alice Roberts set a personal best time in the 3000 at 10:31.44.
  • Chelsea Wallace posted a season-best mark in the shot put at 40-3.5 (12.28m).
 
MEN'S RESULTS
  • Elon's men's cross country team competed in distance events at the Camel City Invitational.
  • Zane Jackson led five Elon runners in the 3000 with a 22nd place finish in 8:26.68.
  • In the mile, Ramy Ghandour posted a time of 4:54.09.

  • Elon will compete at Liberty's Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational Friday and Saturday.
