Raleigh, N.C. – The Elon University track & field team competed in three events and the men's cross country team competed in one as rain shortened the team's weekend at the Duke Invitational.
Grace Dieleman was the Duke Invitational champion in the javelin, throwing 132-feet-1 (40.27m).
Kaitlin McGoogan finished ninth in the hammer throw at 184-4 (56.20m) and
Chelsea Wallace tossed the discus 142-9 (43.53m). In the men's 5,000, Zane Jackson recorded Elon's top time at 14:33.33.
Elon will be back in action Saturday and Sunday at High Point's Meet of Champions.
