Northborough, Mass. – The Elon University lacrosse team was named an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Tuesday, and seven members of the team were named to the IWLCA DI Honor Roll.
 
A total of 289 schools across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for the prestigious honor, a team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team grade point average for the academic year.
 
Seniors Cassidy Creighton, Julia Dalmass, Hannah McCarthy, Abbey Rose and Ellie Stricker were all recognized on the DI Honor Roll, along with juniors Alex Belveal and Kailee Follette.
 
In total, 941 student-athletes were recognized for the award, given to juniors, seniors and graduate students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
