ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team and head coach
Elizabeth Anderson announced the hiring of Sean Foster as an assistant coach on Friday.
Foster earned a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Alabama. Over the summer, Foster worked as a sports performance intern at Elon, helping with workouts and speed sessions.
Before coming to Elon, Foster spent time as a performance coach for the New York Mets, where he oversaw data collection for players. In the summer of 2019, Foster worked as a sports performance intern for the University of Connecticut, where he helped with men's and women's ice hockey, volleyball, baseball and softball.
While a student at Alabama, Foster spent almost three years (2017-20) as a strength and conditioning intern. He designed and implemented workouts for men's cheerleading during the 2019-20 academic year, assisted with the recruitment of high school and transfer athletes and assisted with Alabama's football, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, spirit, swimming and diving, rowing and golf teams.
