RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University women's golfer Annabelle Ackroyd has been named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 20.  
  
Ackroyd finished tied for second in a field of 86 players at this week's Elon Invitational at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C. The graduate from Calgary, Canada, fired an even-par 54-hole total of 213 to post her best finish so far this fall season. Her performance helped the maroon and gold finish tied for second in the team standings. 
  
The runner-up finish at Elon's home tournament was Ackroyd's 10th top-20 finish in her last 11 events dating back to her fall season last year. Five of those 10 results have been top-5 finishes, which includes three top-fives in her last five starts.  
  
The Phoenix continues its fall season on Sept. 25-26 at the Red Bandanna Intercollegiate in Milton, Mass.
