Elon, N.C. – Senior Miray Konar and junior Madison Cordisco each went 3-0 to lead a strong performance by the Elon women's tennis team on the final day of the Elon Invitational Saturday. In total, Elon won 23 matches over two days in the Elon Invitational.
 
Konar and Cordisco both went 2-0 in doubles play and then added a win in singles as well for the Phoenix. The duo paired up in the first doubles session of the day to post a 6-0 victory and then split up for the second doubles session and each earned victories.
 
Cordisco then secured a 7-5, 6-1 singles win, while Konar won 6-4, 6-2.
 
In total, Elon went 4-4 in doubles play on the day and 6-2 in singles action.

Suk went 3-0 on the weekend in singles play and is 6-0 in singles action during the fall campaign.
 
Appalachian State's Savannah Dada-Mascoll won the singles title of the Elon Invitational and she paired with teammate Isabella Romanichen for the doubles championship.
 
"We enjoyed hosting the tournament this weekend at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center," Elon Head Coach Elizabeth Anderson said. "The team competed very well this weekend and has been working very hard. We are looking forward to preparing for our ITA regionals next."
 
Elon will now await the ITA Regionals in Chapel Hill Oct. 17-21 and will also compete at the North Carolina Central Invitational Oct. 18-20.
