Lynchburg, Va. – The Elon women's tennis team won 14 singles matches and seven doubles contests over three days at the Liberty Hidden Duals. The Phoenix competed against Liberty, Arkansas State, East Carolina, Richmond and William & Mary throughout the weekend.
 
Elon went 14-8 in singles play and 7-6 in doubles action. Freshman Heidi Bulger went a perfect 3-0 in singles action and added a 3-1 mark in doubles.
 
NOTABLE

• Heidi Bulger had to rebound from a first set loss to William & Mary's Ine Stange to earn a 10-2 third set super tiebreak win. She then had straight set victories over Richmond's Claire Le Du and Arkansas State's Lily Cvanciger.
• Senior Miray Konar also went 3-0 in singles action. She had a dramatic 14-12 third set super tiebreak victory over William & Mary's Emma Pell then beat Parker Debnam, also of William & Mary, 6-3, 6-2. She finished off a perfect singles weekend with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Arkansas State's Loles Carbo Chova
• Junior Madison Cordisco was 2-0 in singles play. She won a third set super tiebreak over Mira Kernagis of William & Mary and then blanked Richmond's Amy Walsh 6-0, 6-0.
• Sophomores Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding both went 2-1 in singles play. Freshman Lisa Kranec and sophomore Ella Suk also had a singles win apiece.
• Reding and Bergeron paired up for a 2-1 doubles record. They defeated William & Mary's Emma Fernald and Kernagis 6-3, followed by a 6-2 win over Richmond's Lucy Webber and Walsh.
• Cordisco and Bulger also went 2-1 in doubles play, defeating William & Mary's Francesca Davis and Hedda Gurholt twice.
• Kranec and Suk also went 2-1 in doubles play. The beat William & Mary's Debnam and Pell two times.
• The team of Suk and Bulger also picked up a victory over ECU's Brooke LaFrenz and Joan Madi.

• Helen Sarikulaya and Miray Konar are scheduled to compete in the ITA sectionals Thursday in Chapel Hill after qualifying through ITA regionals.
