RICHMOND, Va. – Freshmen Simone Bergeron and Ella Suk became the third Elon doubles pairing to take home CAA Doubles Team of the Week this season, as the conference announced its weekly awards on Tuesday. 
 
Bergeron and Suk helped Elon secure the doubles point in a 6-1 triumph over in-state foe Davidson on March 2. Playing at No. 3 doubles, the Phoenix tandem topped Savanna Kollock and Bryson Langford 6-2, helping the team win its sixth doubles point in the last seven matches. 
 
Bergeron and Suk improved to 6-1 as a team this season with that win and have dominated their foes 38-17 in overall games during those seven outings. 
 
This is Elon's third doubles team to win the weekly honor this season. Sibel Tanik and Lizette Reding took home the first weekly doubles honor of the season on Jan. 23, and Madison Cordisco and Mariana Reding earned the award on Feb. 20. 
 
This is the first season since joining the CAA that Elon has had three different doubles teams take home the honor. In the last two seasons, the Phoenix has had eight CAA Doubles Team of the Week winners after amassing six in its first eight seasons in the conference. 
 
Elon takes on Fairfield on Tuesday and will return to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center again Saturday for matches against Methodist at 10:30 a.m. and Salem at 2:30 p.m.
