Greensboro, N.C. – Piper Jons posted the second-fastest 100 time in program history as the Elon University track & field team made final preparations for the CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Piper Jons ran the 100 in 11.78 seconds, the second-fastest in program history. It was her fastest wind legal time (she has run a wind-aided 11.67) and just shy of the school record time of 11.70 seconds.
• Isabella Hildtich continued to climb the Elon record book in the 100 hurdles. The DePaul transfer ran a season-best 14.13 seconds, fourth-fastest in program history.
• Emily Alps placed second in the 800 with a personal best time of 2:11.36. That time ranks eighth in program history.
• Meghan Wilcox ran a season-best time of 11.93 seconds in the 100.
• Hannah Schonhoff won the high jump by clearing 5-feet-5 (1.65m).

• Elon will host the CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex on the campus of Elon University.
