Richmond, VA. – Senior outside hitter
Sydney Love was selected to the Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention team, released by the CAA Tuesday morning.
Love is awarded the honor for the second consecutive year after leading the team in kills with 230 (2.88/set) last season. A two-year captain for the Phoenix, she reached double-digit kills in 14 contests and totaled 45 blocks and 77 digs. The Chesapeake, Va. native recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs against North Carolina A&T and tallied four blocks on three occasions.
The Phoenix opens the 2024 campaign with a home exhibition match against East Carolina on Aug. 24. The following weekend Elon travels to Davidson, N.C. for the Wildcat Classic on Aug. 30-31.
