Elon, N.C. – Elon University Lacrosse Head Coach
Josh Hexter has named Hayley Hunt as an assistant coach. Hunt begins at Elon following a four-year NCAA Division I lacrosse career at Stony Brook and Lehigh.
A 2024 graduate of Lehigh University, Hunt has extensive lacrosse coaching experience. Since June of 2020, she has been a coach for the Big 4 HHH Lacrosse Club, providing guidance and mentorship to players, helping them set and achieve personal and team goals. She has conducted goalie specific training lessons and has worked as a coach for Lehigh's prospect camps.
Hunt began her career at Stony Brook, competing for the Seawolves in 2021. She then transferred to Lehigh, playing her final three years for the Mountain Hawks. She was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and earned honorable mention All-American status by both USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse. Hunt was also a two-time first team All-Patriot League performer, along with second team recognition in 2022, and member of the Patriot League All-Tournament Team in both 2023 and 2024. She was named Lehigh's Most Outstanding Athlete as a senior.
In 2022, Hunt led the NCAA in total saves (216) and save percentage (.543). This past spring she ranked fifth in the country with 183 total saves, an average of 10.76 per contest. Hunt finished her career with 597 saves and a .503 save percentage.
Hunt graduated from Lehigh with a bachelor's degree in economics and a minor in international relations in May of 2024.
