Wroblewski Selected To Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week

Elon, N.C.- Senior goalkeeper Tomasz Wroblewski was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week earlier today after a supreme two-game run in goal. Wroblewski was the lone keeper selected to the Team of the Week after his games against Wake Forest and Stony Brook.

The Warsaw, Poland product set an Elon Division I record with 13 saves against the Demon Deacons last Tuesday. Wroblewski becomes the first Phoenix in the millennium to have multiple double-digit save performances in a career. The keeper ranks top 25 in the country in several statistical categories. His save percentage (0.816) and shutouts (3) both rank within the top 25 nationally.

"Tomasz had a very successful summer being recognized as the #1 Gk in USL2, he has carried this into the Fall Season with some very strong performances in games. Coach Stanula does an amazing job with our GK's and sets high standards for all of them on a daily basis," said Head Coach Marc Reeves. "Tomasz has been very consistent in all aspects and his pro level shot stopping and reflexes have seen him make some big saves at key moments in games."

The Phoenix will return to the pitch as they hit the road and continue CAA play against the Hofstra Pride on Saturday. Kickoff will be at 2 pm.
