Lafontaine Finishes Eighth, Elon Fourth At Tot Hill Invitational

ASHEBORO, N.C. – The Elon University women's golf team finished fourth at the Tot Hill Invitational with junior Ashley Lafontaine finishing in the top-10 carding a 4-over par 220. College of Charleston hosted the tournament at the par-72, 6,023-yard Tot Hill Farm Golf Club.

As a team, Elon finished with a 900 (+36) to finish fourth while Charleston won the tournament with a 3-over par 867.

HIGHLIGHTS

Ashley Lafontaine was Elon's top finisher in solo eighth place with a 220 (+4). The junior carded a 6-over par 78 in her final round for her second top-10 finish of the season.
Kelly Zhao shot a 76 in her final round to move up one spot on the individual leaderboard to tie for 22nd place with a 54-hole total of 228 (+12).
Garland Gould had a team-best four birdies in her final round to finish tied for 24th place with a 229 (+13).
Charlotte Scully tied for 27th place after shooting a 54-hole total of 230 (+14).
Annie Wu shot a 78 in her final round and tied for 35th place.
As individuals, Emma Hansen tied for 60thplace with a 37-over par 253 while Andrea Asmundsdottir finished in 62ndplace with a 255 (+39).

UP NEXT

The team heads to the Edisto Island Invitational on October 14-15 in Edisto Beach, S.C.
