WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Elon University women's golf team climbed two more spots on the leaderboard in the final round to finish tied for fourth at the Advance Golf Partner Collegiate.

The Phoenix posted a 54-hole total of 883 (+19), tying with Jacksonville State. Virginia Tech won the tournament with a 22-under-par 842.
 
HIGHLIGHTS  

• Kelly Zhao secured her first top-five finish of the spring, placing fourth with a 2-under-par 214. She recorded three rounds of par or better, including an even-par 72 in the final round.
• Garland Gould moved into a tie for 24th place after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round, which featured five birdies. She finished with a 6-over-par 222 and led the team with 11 birdies.
• Ashley Lafontaine surged 26 spots on the individual leaderboard after carding Elon's lowest round of the tournament—a 2-under-par 70 in the final round—finishing tied for 24th place.
• Emma Hansen tied for 37th place with a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) after posting a 78 (+6) in the final round.
• As an individual, Andrea Asmundsdottir jumped seven spots on the leaderboard, tying for 76th place with a 23-over-par 239. She carded a 77 (+5) in the final round, highlighted by four birdies.
• Annie Wu finished in 93rd place with a 54-hole total of 252 (+36).

UP NEXT 

• The Phoenix will travel to Mt. Pleasant, S.C., to compete in the Rivertowne Invitational from Feb. 16-28.
