ELON, N.C. — The Elon women's basketball team (13-12, 7-7 CAA) hits the road to face Charleston (19-6, 10-4 CAA) on Friday, Feb. 23, before returning home to welcome Triad rival North Carolina A&T (16-9, 12-2 CAA) on Sunday, Mar. 2, at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.

• Freshman Jayda Angel has earned five CAA Rookie of the Week honors so far in the 2024-25 season.
• Angel matched her career-high with 20 points against Campbell, leading the team off the bench for the eighth time this season.
• Angel contributed 10 points and four rebounds in Elon's win at UNCW.
• Angel led the team in scoring for the seventh time this season, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, and two steals against the Tribe.
• Angel tied for the team-lead with nine points and five rebounds against Drexel.
• Angel led the Phoenix in scoring off the bench with 14 points in the win over Delaware, also matching her season-high with four assists to pace the team.
• Angel was named CAA Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season after an outstanding weekend, averaging 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals in Elon's victories over Stony Brook and Hofstra.
• Jayda Angel recorded her eighth double-figure scoring performance of the season with 14 points against the Pride, along with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
• In the team's win over Stony Brook, Angel led the team with nine rebounds and three steals.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON

• Charleston holds an 19-6 overall record and a 10-4 mark in CAA play, most recently defeating Hampton 70-58 on Tuesday night.
• The Cougars finished last season 22-10 overall and 13-5 in CAA play, securing third place in the conference.
• Charleston was projected to finish tied for fourth in the 2024-25 CAA Preseason Poll.
• Taryn Barbot, the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, leads the team with 14.6 points per game and is tied for first in the league with 2.3 steals per game.
• Her sister, Taylor Barbot, also averages double figures with 11.8 points per game and leads the team in assists (4.2 per game), ranking third in the conference.
• Lara Rohkohl tops the CAA in rebounding, averaging 9.5 boards per contest.

SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T

• N.C. A&T enters the matchup with a 16-9 overall record and a 12-2 mark in league play, riding a four-game win streak with victories over Northeastern, William & Mary, Delaware, and UNCW.
• The Aggies finished last season 22-12 overall and 13-5 in the CAA, placing fourth in the league standings.
• This season, N.C. A&T was picked to win the CAA, receiving 11 of 14 first-place votes in the 2024-25 CAA Preseason Poll.
• Maleia Bracone and Jordyn Dorsey earned All-CAA Preseason First Team honors, while Chaniya Clark was named to the Second Team.
• Dorsey leads the Aggies in scoring, ranking fifth in the CAA with 15.2 points per game, while also leading the team in assists (95) and steals (49).
• Clark also averages double figures with 10.4 points per game and leads the team in rebounding with 7.9 boards per contest.
