Adriana Clarke and
Meghan Wilcox swept the first CAA outdoor weekly honors of the 2025 season. Clarke was named the CAA Field Athlete of the Week and
Meghan Wilcox was named the CAA Track Athlete of the Week.
Elon opened the outdoor season by hosting the Phoenix Invitational and the team won 11 events and set numerous personal bests.
Adriana Clarke won the hammer throw with a toss of 179-feet-11 (54.84m). The distance ranks fourth in school history and leads the CAA after the opening weekend. Clarke also ranks third in the East region and ninth in the NCAA. She also competed in shot put and placed seventh at 38-11 (11.86m).
Wilcox starred in the 100 and 200, while also running on the winning 400 relay team. She ran 12.10 seconds in the 100 and 24.91 seconds in the 200, with both times leading the CAA after week one. In the 100, Wilcox currently ranks No. 12 in the East Region and No. 40 nationally. In the 200, she ranks No. 9 in the East and No. 38 in the country. Finally, Wilcox ran the second leg of the 400 relay that won the Phoenix Invitational with a time of 47.42 seconds.
Elon returns to action Friday and Saturday at High Point's HPU Team Challenge before taking part in the Raleigh Relays March 27-29.
