Box Score Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Elon University women's tennis team defeated Gardner-Webb 7-0 on Saturday. This victory moves Elon to 9-4, dropping Gardner-Webb to 2-5. It was the Phoenix's first match of the 2025 season against a CAA opponent.

Doubles Recap: The Phoenix secured wins in all three doubles matches.
 

• At No. 1, Helen Sarikulaya and Miray Konar beat Emilia Roslund and Arili Boshoff 6-3.
• At No. 2, Mariana Reding and Simone Bergeron improved to 8-3 on the season by defeating Milica Prokic and Natalie Crawford 6-4. For Bergeron, it was her 10th doubles win of the 2025 spring. 
• At No. 3, Heidi Bulger and Lisa Kranec faced Alizée Poulin and Greta Murzsa, winning 6-4.

Singles Recap: Continuing with their victories, the Phoenix won all six singles matches to complete their 7-0 victory over Gardner-Webb.
 

• At No. 1, Simone Bergeron faced Emilia Roslund, winning 6-1, 7-6 (8-6).
• At No. 2, Helen Sarikulaya defeated Alizée Poulin, winning the first and third sets 6-3, 6-2.
• At No. 3, Mariana Reding beat Milica Prokic 6-3, 6-2.
• At No. 4, Heidi Bulger beat Natalie Crawford 6-3, 6-1.
• At No. 5, Madison Cordisco faced Arili Boshoff, winning 6-2, 7-5. Cordisco moved to 8-2 on the year in singles play.
• At No. 6, Lisa Kranec beat Greta Murzsa 6-1, 6-1 to move to 11-1 on the season in singles play. She has won eight straight decisions.

Overall, the Phoenix gave Garner-Webb little to no chance of victory with each player winning in two sets with little competition. For Head Coach Elizabeth Anderson, it was her 298th career victory.  

Up next: The Phoenix will face Long Island at home on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The Sharks are currently 1-6 on the season.
