CHARLOTTE – Sophomore
Caden Cerminara broke her own school record for the second straight week in the pole vault to highlight the Elon University women's track and field team's performance at the Charlotte Invitational on Saturday, April 26.
A week after breaking the school record in the pole vault, Cerminara set a new program mark and personal-record in the event as the Middletown, N.J., native cleared the bar at 3.92m. She would finish seventh overall in the pole vault section A event.
Duna Viñals was third in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a personal-best time of 1:00.28 in the race. That time is now the second-fastest time in school history.
Hannah Schonhoff was third overall in the high jump with a cleared height of 1.68m, her second-best outdoor mark of the season.
Lizzie Lopez was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 5.62m.
Isabella Johnson set a new personal-record in the shot put, throw a distance of 13.57m to finish fourth. Jacqueline Zacharias was fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 38.25m
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Olivia Waymer led the Phoenix with her time of 14.29 in the race.
