WINSTON-SALEM – Jaqueline Zacharias broke her own javelin school record, which she set just four weeks prior, as the Elon women's track and field team competed at the second day of the Wake Forest Invitational and the first day of the Aggie Invitational.
 
Zacharias broke her previous record of 45.30m (148' 7") with a throw of 46.75m (153' 4") on the second day of competition at the Kentner Stadium in Winston-Salem.  The Wake Forest Invitational also included personal best performances by Abby Beville (4:19.75) and Quinn Smith (4:22.11) in the 1500-meter invite, with Beville moving into No. 6 on the school's all-time performance list and Smith improving her own No. 8 all-time performance. Sarah Petitjean set her season best in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:26.70.
 
The night ended with Hannah Weber setting a new personal best in the 5000-meter with a time of 16:26.95. Her time ranks as the No. 5 all-time program performance.
 
The Phoenix also competed at the NC A&T Aggie Invitational with participants in the 200-meter dash, the 1500-meter and the 400-meter hurdles.
