Elon, N.C. – Following a historic season, the Elon University women's tennis team swept the Coastal Athletic Association's three major awards and earned six All-CAA selections, as announced by the conference on Friday, May 9. Sophomore Simone Bergeron was named the CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Year, freshman Heidi Bulger received CAA Rookie of the Year honors, and head coach Elizabeth Anderson was recognized as CAA Coach of the Year.

Simone Bergeron - CAA Player of the Year, First Team All-CAA Singles, First Team All-CAA Doubles

After the CAA Championship, the duo had a 12-match win streak.

Heidi Bulger - CAA Rookie of the Year, Second Team All-CAA Singles

Bulger ended her first season with the Phoenix with two CAA awards, recognizing her for her achievements this season. Lisa Kranec - Second Team All-CAA Doubles

Having played doubles with five of her teammates throughout her first season at Elon, Kranec was an important piece to many doubles teams. Paired up most with Helen Sarikulaya, the duo went 5-2, collecting vital wins in both tournament matches and their last regular-season match against William & Mary. Additionally, she teamed up with Bulger to collect a 4-3 victory over East Carolina.

Coach Elizabeth Anderson - CAA Coach of the Year

This season has been a big one for Coach Anderson, collecting her 300th win, achieving the first CAA championship trophy in program history, and winning the highest conference honor for a coach, CAA Coach of the Year. Anderson just finished her 21st season at Elon, averaging over 14 wins per season.
