  • Murdock attempted three of Elon's six shots on the night. Dumornay, Hellner and Megan Dwyer all took one.
  • The result was Elon's first non-loss in 17 meetings against the Wolfpack and its first result against a current ACC opponent.

Historic Shutout Streak
  • With the shutout against NC State on Thursday night, Elon posted its fifth consecutive clean sheet.
  • This is the first time the Phoenix has shut out five consecutive opponents since 1995 and is the most consecutive clean sheets for Elon as a Division I program.
  • A shutout Sunday at George Mason would match Elon's longest ever streak of consecutive clean sheets (6), which was accomplished during the program's inaugural season in 1986.
  • Elon has not conceded a goal in the last 463:28 of game time, a stretch that began in the second half at VCU on Aug. 14. It has been nearly eight hours of game action since the Phoenix surrendered its only goal of the campaign.
  • The Phoenix is yet to trail through 540 minutes of game time this season.
  • Bisgrove has started all five shutout efforts in goal for the Phoenix. She is the first Elon goalie in the program's Division I era to record a shutout in five consecutive games.
  • With the five consecutive clean sheets, Bisgrove is up to 10.5 in her career, which is already the 10th most in program history through her 22 appearances.

Katie B On Repeat
  • For the second time in three weeks, Bisgrove was tabbed as the CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
  • Bisgrove anchored Elon's shutout victories at Queens (3-0) and High Point (1-0) last week.
  • The sophomore goalkeeper stopped a pair of shots to blank the Royals before making seven saves versus the Panthers. The seven stops were one shy of her season high, which she set in the season opener at VCU.
  • Bisgrove previously won the award on Aug. 18 following her eight-save effort against the Rams and a clean sheet versus VMI.

Murdock's Hot Start
  • Murdock leads the Phoenix with six points on the season, taking over the team lead with her assist Sunday night at High Point.
  • The redshirt junior is tied with Gelhaus for a team-high two goals on the season. Her 22 shot attempts are 11 more than any other Phoenix player through the first six games.
  • She scored Elon's first goal of 2025 in the season opener at VCU, connecting from just outside the box after dribbling the ball from midfield.
  • Against Gardner-Webb on Aug. 24, Murdock scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute to propel Elon to a 1-0 victory.
  • Against the Runnin' Bulldogs, Murdock paced the Phoenix with seven shot attempts and six shots on goal. She has led Elon in shot attempts in four games this season.
  • Murdock's goal against the Runnin' Bulldogs was the 10th of her career, as she joined Ashlee Brehio as current Elon players with double-digit career goals as a Phoenix.

GG
  • Gelhaus, a preseason All-CAA selection, is second on the team with five points this season. She has almost matched her season total of seven points from a season ago in Elon's first six games.
  • The junior scored two goals in a 21-second span in Elon's 4-0 victory over VMI on Aug. 17. She also assisted on Murdock's game-winning tally against Gardner-Webb on Sunday.
  • Gelhaus is third on the team with 10 shots, five of which have been on target. She has logged the fifth most minutes by Phoenix position players this season (470).

Balanced Attack
  • Through the first six games this season, Elon has had eight different scorers for its 10 goals.
  • Murdock and Gelhaus are the only Phoenix to net multiple goals on the campaign, with Gelhaus scoring both hers in a 21-second span versus VMI.
  • Two Elon players have converted their first career goals this season. Freshman Abby Brinker scored in the second half of the VMI win, with junior Jenna Abousaab finding her first career tally in the victory at Queens.
  • Beck delivered the game-winning goal for Elon on Sunday night against High Point, her second career tally.
  • Hellner and junior Lauren McCauley are the other two goal scorers this season for the Phoenix.
  • Additionally, 11 Elon players have recorded points on the campaign, with Brehio (2), Lilly McFadden (1) and Gia Milano (2) all having assists.

Non-Conference Streak
  • Elon extended its unbeaten streak against non-conference opponents to 12 on Sunday night with its result against NC State. The streak started last season, and the Phoenix is 9-0-3 since the start of 2024 versus non-conference opposition.
  • During that stretch, Elon has outscored its opponents, 20-5, which includes eight clean sheets.
  • The 12 results have come against nine different opponents. Six have come at Rudd with other six coming on the road.
  • Elon's last loss to a non-conference foe came on Aug. 31, 2023, when the Phoenix fell at No. 12/13 South Carolina.

Preseason Accolades
  •  Elon was picked to finish first in the new CAA South Division, as the conference unveiled its preseason polls on Aug. 11. The Phoenix received nine of 12 first place votes and garnered 63 total points in the vote by the league's head coaches.
  • The Phoenix also had three players earn Preseason All-CAA recognition. Junior defender Grace Gelhaus and sophomore goalkeeper Katie Bisgrove earned a spot on the Preseason All-CAA Team while junior midfielder Gabby Hoschek was tabbed a Preseason All-CAA honorable mention.
  • Gelhaus was an All-CAA First Team selection a season ago after making 16 starts in 18 appearances for the Phoenix. She led Elon's defenders in goals (2), assists (3) and points (7) while logging the full 90 minutes on seven occasions. In Elon's CAA quarterfinal victory over College of Charleston, Gelhaus assisted on Elon's opening goal and notched the game-winning tally in the final five minutes to lift the Phoenix to a 2-1 victory.
  • Bisgrove earned All-CAA Rookie Team honors as a freshman in 2024. She made 15 starts in net for the Phoenix, delivering 10 victories, the second most by an Elon freshman in the program's Division I tenure. Bisgrove secured 66 saves in her rookie campaign and had 5.5 shutouts, one of just 15 Division I freshmen to register five or more clean sheets last season. She took home CAA Rookie of the Week on Sept. 23 following a five-save outing in a 2-1 victory over Northeastern.
  • Hoschek appeared in all 18 contests for Elon is 2024 on her way to earning All-CAA Second Team recognition. She totaled four goals, three assists and 11 points a season ago, with four of those points (1g, 2a) coming in Elon's 4-2 triumph at Wofford. The midfielder also netted goals against Gardner-Webb, Northeastern and Hofstra.

  • The Phoenix will face all five South Division teams in the regular season along with four teams from the North Division.
  • At the end of the regular season, the top three teams from each division will qualify for the CAA Championship. The top seed in each division will receive a by to the semifinals while the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds in both the North and South will clash in the quarterfinals.
