WASHINGTON, D.C. – Elon sophomore forward
LaNae' Corbett was named to the All-CAA Third Team, while freshmen
Ashanti Fox and
Tamia Watkins earned All-CAA Rookie Team honors as the conference announced its 2025-26 women's basketball awards Wednesday morning ahead of the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Championship.
Corbett emerged as one of the Phoenix's most dependable offensive threats in her first season with the program. A sophomore forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and transfer from Hofstra, she has reached double figures 19 times this season and ranks 14th in the CAA with 11.7 points per game. Corbett is shooting 48.3% from the field, second-best in the conference, and is tied for 15th in the league with 1.4 steals per game. She has shot 50% or better in 15 contests and set Elon's single-game program record for field-goal percentage after shooting 87.5% (14-for-16) from the floor against Hampton, breaking the previous mark held by Wanda Wilson (1970) and Lakia Hayes (1985).
Fox joined the All-CAA Rookie Team after collecting three CAA Rookie of the Week honors (Jan. 19, Jan. 26, Feb. 23) during her freshman season. A native of Vass, North Carolina, she leads all Elon bench scorers, averaging 8.7 points per game and has reached double figures 13 times. Fox ranked second on the team in assists per game (2.1) and three-pointers made (32), while shooting 32.7% from beyond the arc.
A center from Kershaw, South Carolina, Watkins also earned three CAA Rookie of the Week honors (Dec. 1, Feb. 2, Feb. 9) during her freshman season. She shares the team lead in rebounding at 5.0 per game and ranks third on the team, shooting 45.9% from the field, while reaching double figures in seven games. Watkins also recorded three double-doubles this season and ranks second on the team with 13 blocks.
This marks the fourth straight year Elon has had a player named to the All-CAA Rookie Team and the first time since the 2014-15 season that two Phoenix players earned All-Rookie Team honors in the same year.
Elon enters the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 11 Hampton on Thursday, March 12, at 8:30 p.m. at the CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.
