RICHMOND, Va. – Elon sophomore
Drew Yeagley has been named the Coastal Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Yeagley earned the honor after tying for fourth individually at the JT Poston Invitational, played Sunday through Tuesday at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club in Waynesville, North Carolina. He finished the 54-hole tournament at 10-under-par 203 (65-64-74) in a 100-player field that included golfers from South Carolina, NC State, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech.
Yeagley opened the tournament with a bogey-free 6-under-par 65 before bettering that mark Monday with a collegiate-low 7-under 64. The back-to-back rounds put him at 13-under through 36 holes and gave him a share of the individual lead entering Tuesday's final round.
He closed with a 3-over 74 to finish tied for fourth, securing the third top-five finish of his collegiate career.
The reigning CAA Co-Rookie of the Year has now finished among the top 20 in 11 of his first 12 collegiate tournaments. This is the second time Yeagley has been named CAA Golfer of the Week, having first earned the honor on April 16, 2026.
Yeagley helped Elon finish seventh in the 17-team field at 16-under-par 836 (279-272-285).
