RICHMOND, Va. – Elon freshman running back Kamerin McDowell-Moore was named the CAA Football Co-Offensive Rookie of the Week on Monday following a career performance in the Phoenix's 43-17 victory over Maine.

McDowell-Moore rushed for a career-high 126 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, averaging 9.0 yards per rush. It marked his second 100-yard rushing performance of the season and his second game with multiple rushing touchdowns.

The Tarboro, North Carolina, native provided one of Elon's biggest plays of the afternoon late in the second quarter, breaking free for a career-long 55-yard touchdown run to give the Phoenix a 19-3 advantage heading into halftime. After Maine scored to cut into the Elon lead, McDowell-Moore found the end zone again with a 6-yard touchdown run to help the Phoenix regain control.

It is McDowell-Moore's second weekly conference award this season. He was named CAA Rookie of the Week following Elon's 38-0 victory at Davidson, when he rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.

With McDowell-Moore's second weekly rookie honor, Elon has now produced a player with multiple CAA Rookie of the Week awards in each of the past three seasons. Landen Clark earned the honor three times in 2025, while TJ Thomas accomplished the feat in 2024.

McDowell-Moore and the Phoenix return to action Saturday when Elon heads north to face New Hampshire. Kickoff between the Phoenix and Wildcats is scheduled for 1 p.m.
