Biography

Coach’s Take: Has a very good arm with an above average curveball/slider ... Has been hampered by a nagging shoulder injury ... Had a solid fall coming off of surgery ... Will pitch some meaningful innings if healthy in the spring.

2008: Made nine appearances before an injury ended his junior season ... Went 1-1 in 8.1 innings of work.

2007: Logged 33.0 innings over 25 appearances, all out of the bullpen ... Went 3-2 with a 4.36 ERA ... Struck out 31 hitters ... Did not allow a run in his first five outings of the year ... Fanned a career-high four hitters to earn a save after throwing 1.1 scoreless innings against North Carolina A&T ... Held opponents to a .207 batting average ... Did not allow a run over 9.2 innings and six appearances from May 5 through May 25.

2006: Made 19 appearances, including two starts, as a true freshman ... Recorded three saves ... Tallied a 2-3 overall record ... Fanned 21 batters in 20.1 innings of work ... Picked up his first collegiate victory by throwing one inning with two strikeouts in relief against Kent State.

Prep: Two-time All-Mecklenburg pick ... Claimed all-conference accolades three times ... Helped lead North Mecklenburg to two league titles and a conference co-championship during his last three seasons ... Participated in the North Carolina/South Carolina Senior Challenge in 2005 ... Helped guide the On Deck O’s team to a third-place finish at the WWBA/PG World Wood Bat Championships ... Also helped guide his AAU 16U team, the Diamond Travelers (S.C.), to a state title.
