Coach’s Take: A talented player who has some serious pop in his bat ... Is inconsistent at times with the bat, but possesses all the tools ... Will be a factor this spring ... A hard worker and great kid ... Will battle for the starting leftfield spot.

2008: Homered five times and drove in 22 runs while hitting .338 over 65 at bats in 37 games as a true freshman ... Started 13 games ... Was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts ... Made two pitching appearances, throwing 2.0 innings ... Recorded his first career hit with a 1-for-1 day against La Salle ... Had a career game in a victory over Wake Forest, homering three time (including a grand slam), driving in 10 runs and scoring three times in a 4-for-5 night at the plate ... Named to the College Baseball Foundation’s “National All-Star Lineup” and dubbed as having Ping! Baseball’s Spotlight Performance of the Week following his 6-for-14 (.429), three-run, 11-RBI week.
