The Coach’s Take: Will compete with Joshua Jones for time at middle linebacker… Excellent leader with a strong work ethic… Plans to contribute on special teams. 

2008: Appeared in all 12 contests… Recorded 19 total tackles, including a tackle for a loss… Notched two tackles against eventual National Champion Richmond… Made two solo stops in a SoCon victory at Chattanooga…Posted a career-best nine tackles at Liberty… 2007: Saw playing time in all 11 games, earning one start… Made 18 tackles, including five solo stops… Had one quarterback hurry… Made eight tackles in a victory over Stony Brook. 

Prep: Helped coach Todd Shuping’s squad capture three consecutive conference titles and a Western Division 4A title in 2005… Grimsley posted an undefeated 2006 regular season… Three-time all-conference selection… Listed among the 2006 North Carolina Prep Top 100… All-area honoree.
