Biography

The Coach’s Take: A former walk-on who earned a scholarship following a solid freshman year… Moves from safety to outside linebacker… Expected to be a major contributor on special teams and will compete for playing time at linebacker.  

2008: Saw action in eight games as a true freshman… Made five total tackles… Recorded two stops in a SoCon win over Western Carolina… Recovered one fumble at then-No. 2 Appalachian State. 

Prep: Four-year starter… Tallied 78 tackles as a senior… Earned All-Western Conference and All-Hillsborough County honors… Hillsborough County All-Star captain… Helped coach Mark Kantor’s squad to consecutive 5A playoff appearances and a 2007 district crown… Set high school division weightlifting records at Cooper Speed & Strength in both the power clean and squat… Four-year scholar-athlete… Recipient of the 2008 Hillsborough County National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award.
